Freezes during running antivirus
In the past week i have tried to run an anti-virus scan each day. I started trying with Avast. I tried all 3 of the settings for scanning. Avast was working before this. It always froze while it was running during the same point. I then downloaded AntiVir PE Classic and tried to get that to work. It did the same thing, mid-way through everything on the computer just stops and never recovers. The file it stopped on was
.assembly...presentationframework.luna.ni.dll. Why is it doing this and what can i do to get it to work??

Thanks

The file you are having trouble with is in the C:\Windows\assembly folder which contains special files related to Microsoft .Net Framework. You may have to configure your antivirus to exclude the folder from scans.

(Some Google results indicate others are also unable to defrag their HDD because of files in that folder).
