Help with Vundo
First: can Vundo still "revive" itself if my malware program cleaned it? I ran Malwarebytes Antimalware but didn't fully perform a system scan, maybe 95%. It took forever....
Well I don't think I disinfected my whole computer and so when I rebooted, McAfee notified me that it had blocked and removed Vundo. This happened at least 5 min from when I started surfing the internet so I think Vundo tried to come back.

I'm not actually asking for help but whether I need to continuoslly disinfect my pc of Vundo.

If you need a hijackthis log, just ask for it; I'll post it.

Hello Wicked. As far as mm knowledge of Malware goes, the trojan Vundo does have the capability to revive itself from the least of its remnants. It is recommended that you visit the Malware Removal Forums where the experts will guide you out to disinfect your computer more thoroughly.

Sorry but that is the best advice I can offer. Hope that helps.

if vundo keeps reinfecting your computer, you should consider installing security tools with real time protection. anyway, there's a way to check if the trojan is still on your machine. it installs several files just like regular programs do. you can search for those files on your computer to make sure that they are gone. here's vundo removal guide. it contains list of all the files that belong to vundo.
