Unhappy Blue Screen of Death! page error...help!!!
My laptop is a Dell Studio 15, bought about 4 months ago.
Specs: 4GB DDR2 Ram, 320GB HDD, 2.1 GHz T8100 Core 2 Duo, 64-bit Vista Home Premium.

Every once in a while I seem to get a blue-screen. I've gotten it like 6 times so far. After the last one it seemed to completely reset my computer (My Documents, my desktop, etc.) and said "Error loading user profile." However, after restarting the computer everything went back to normal.

Every time I get a blue screen it says something like "page error in non-pagable area."

I have no idea what is causing this. It happens when I'm using wireless internet and when I'm not, so that couldn't be the problem. Any help on understanding/fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

It may be faulty ram but are you using zonealarm and does it give you a stop code?

Go to Start - Run - type in eventvwr.msc to open the event viewer. Look under both "Application" and "System" for recent (the last 48 hours or so) errors (shown in red) and if found, do this for each one.

Double-click the error to open it up and then click on the icon that looks like two pieces of paper. This will copy the full error. Then "paste" the error into Notepad. Do this for each one until you have them all listed in Notepad and then copy and paste the list in a reply here.

Never mind my post above... This is for XP and not vista... So, it's a bit different than Vista...

Okay, I went to event viewer and all it showed was a list of "Recent Administrative Events," so I made a custom view for only Errors in the last 7 days in Applications and System under the Windows folder. I then selected all the events in the last 48 hours (events before and after blue-screen, which happened on January 8th around 12 AM) and hit "Copy Details as Text," and here is the result:

About the stop number, I didn't write it down when it happened, and I have no idea when the next blue-screen will be...

Try going to the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and look for minixxxxxx-xx files with a DMP extension. Zip 4-5 of the most recent ones and post here as a ZIP or RAR attachment. We can run a debug utility that will hopefully uncover the cause of the blue screens.

Your logs show five different stop errors (50, 1A, C2, D1 and D3). I was not able to find anything common between them.

The last error on 01/08 was a '50' error in hidfind.exe (pointing device driver), caused by mouhid.sys (a mouse driver).

I'll post the debug logs in case somebody wants to take a look.

Maybe try reinstalling the mousepad driver. You can find the driver on the Dell Support site by entering the laptop Service tag number.
