Norton 360 V2 Restore Files Issue
Hi,

I have had to completly rebuild my PC OS from scratch (Vista 32bit) using the Dell system recovery and all was fine. I re-installed Norton 360 V2 and went to my external HDD to restore my music/mail/photos etc. It can see the back up but when selected it says that the Catalog file is corrupt and cannot restore. Looking on the HDD I can see that the catalog file is 0Kb obviously contains very little.

I need to restore these files urgently but even going though the Norton support seems not to help.

Is there a catalog repair tool as all the data still appears on the disk albeit encrypted (46.8Gb) in the folders 0 thru f. Or is there a way i can interegate these files and restore manually.

I must have these photos and stuff back - its 6 years of family history.

Anyone out there with any help would be really appreciated.

thanks

Len

I do not know how to solve the problem, but I do however know how to prevent it in the future. Go to your local Wal-mart, Best Buy, or other electronic store and pick yourself up a couple of 4gb USB flash drives. I just got 3 4gb Lexar memory sticks for $15.00. You could also go to an electronic wholesaler (Factory Direct, Tiger Direct, Costco, Sams Club, etc).
