http 80 access to webpages problem
Cannot access any http website. Can access FTP and HTTPS sites. I understand the prior owner may have used Net Nanny or some other program to block internet access. Whatever was used has apparently been uninstalled. Have not found a way to unblock the system. Is there a way without reinstalling Windows XP Professional, which is the current OS?

http access to webpages problem SOLVED
Solution used for Windows XL professional Pac 2:
Click START,CONTROL PANEL,INTERNET OPTIONS,the CONNECTIONS TAB,LAN SETTINGS (then I noted all boxes checked, just in case i needed the info) and then I clicked all checked boxes to empty them.. Click Ok,OK, close CONTROL PANEL and Restart. The Problem was solved. An alternative would have been to set up a proxy server under Connections address139.223.199.194 with port 8080. potential security issues might be associated with that approach. The site is in Tiwan.
