Do you see icons on your system tray (right lower corner of your task bar)? You should see the ones for your antivirus and/or firewall, if indeed you have one installed.

You can also look in your Start menu programs or in the Control Panel by clicking on Add/Remove programs. To access the Control Panel, go to Start, click on Settings, then on Control Panel.

But, frankly, if you don't even know if you have a security suite installed on your computer, you shouldn't be surfing the web. Your bound to find trouble!

ok, imewire you should not use, it most times installs viruses and you need to know how to make it legal, i know how if you want to know ask(this isn't the thread for that). you should find the software in the all programs part of start menu. look in their or at icons by the clock.

Alright, this may be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. Just what do you mean by "making it legal"?

ok, in lime wire there is a special optoin that makes it so when you search for a program, it will only search for non copyrited material. most people don't know this so they accidentally download copyrited stuff like ms office 2007 professional for free. they get into government issues because it is copywrited. there should be a check mark somewhere for this. But in general limewire gives lots of viruses out.

Pray tell, exactly what "non-copyrighted" material is on Limewire?

tons like downloading music that people BOUGHT on i tunes or from a CD that you can get for FREE. that illegal, also like downloading vista for free and ms office. most everything on lime wire is copyrighted and is illegal to download, but some is legal because some thing like Firefox or windows sp3 is free so it isn't illegal.

Why get Firefox on Limewire and risk getting malware at the same time?!?

Exactly

Only an idiot would think of doing that.

BTW, I HIGHLY DOUBT downloading Windows Service Pack 3 from Limewire is legal as it shouldn't be there to begin with. You're running out of rope around here pal......

By the way, your post doesn't even make sense, as I asked what non-copyrighted stuff can you download on Limewire, and you come back with TONS For the record, just because you BOUGHT A CD, or BOUGHT music from ITUNES, it doesn't mean that you can legally share it on Limewire.
