After removing Vundo.H, Firefox is extremely sluggish
I made a topic about this issue in the software/hardware forum, it was suggested I made one here.

----

Hello.

I recently ran into an issue with the Vundo virus, seemed to be Vundo.H specifically from Malwarebytes scans. I'm not exactly sure how I did it, but after scanning several programs like CCleaner, Spybot, Tune-Up Utilities and Malwarebytes I was able to remove Vundo.H. I've done multiple scans since then and don't appear to be picking it up again, and I'm no long getting sluggish computer problems and random popups.

However since then, for a few days Firefox has been consistently slow and sluggish. To the point that if I'm managing even two to three tabs at once, it almost looks like it's about to freeze. It wasn't like this at all before.

I'm currently using IE, not my browser choice, but it does seem to run much better than Firefox is currently, which wasn't really always the case.

I've done multiple scans and cleared the Firefox cache, cookies, etc, the basics since then but nothing seems to help.

So I hope someone can help me out. I was looking into this and perhaps making a new profile would maybe help?

I ran both Spybot and Malwarebytes in safe-mode, they didn't pickup anything new.

Reinstalled Firefox, but it didn't do anything. Though I read online a bit about maybe making a new profile, could potentially make things run faster again?

I downloaded Opera today and it's extremely fast compared to Firefox right now. I'm actually liking it a lot, but there's still something definitely wrong with my Firefox.

try clearing all the saved stuff. tools>clear private data>all except saved passwords(unless you don't use it)

also try running in safe mode. uninstall all add ons and themes.

try uninstalling and reinstalling

And yes I like opera. it is very good. make sure in the options u enable the option for smooth scrooling

from tests firefox is fastest and safest
