And more antispyware is not a bad thing. I have 4-5 different ones installed. Some run in background( SpywareGuard, SpywareBlaster) and some on demand( SuperAntiSpyware, MalwareBytes).

Dear mattytun,
I presume that your friend has KIS2009 ,because KAV is followed by 7 or 8 number! KIS2009 is incompatible with Spybot. It has it's own firewall and anti-malware installed.Running two anti-malware programs in real-time is not such a good idea. SAS free,in my opinion must be there, as it's top notch! The free MBAM also is excellent and is highly recommended on this site and for good reason. Add another Anti-spyware program--I would suggest "SpywareBlaster" and i think your friend is safe.PLEASE ENSURE AS KENNY94 SAID,IS IT KIS2009 OR KAV?(better safe than sorry, isn't it?)

New KIS 2009 user here. Wow, is this software paranoid. In order to get a clean scan, I had to update winamp, quicktime player, adobe flash player, delete an old java folder, and add umpteen updates that had to be done manually (Vista) to office 2000. Well, I guess the old Office software was vulnerable, but I never used it on any files other than my own.

Dear mrss,
Isn't it better to have a paranoid Internet Suite which does a thorough job rather than one which does not? Just now i had to upgrade my flash player, re-install jre and upgrade Winamp(free)."i"feel safer now about my pc.That's the very intention of KIS2009 and add it's real-time protection feature, and it becomes a well rounded software! Add SAS Pro , Spywareblaster,MBAM and you are set.

Then he's in good shape... Might want him to add Malwarebytes' and use it for a On-Demand Scanner. And run Malwarebytes a few times per month.

Kenny94,
Hey,i run it (MBAM) daily and to good effect! Same with SAS Pro too. I update Spywareblaster's database regularly. I like the WOOF of Winpatrol free! No problems with KIS2009, it updates in the background. Downloaded the old version of MusicMatch JukeBox (7.5) (legit) I LOVE IT AND YAHOO MADE A TOTAL MESS OF IT, yesterday and Winzip12 evaluation version today and immediately KIS showed up with four vulnerabilities!
