Exclamation Solved: Intrusion Alerts, I formatted twice but won't stop!
Hello and thanks for viewing my thread,
I am currently working on my laptop. A few days ago I got an intrusion alert on norton-antivirus and it was blocked so I was relieved and didn't care much. Little did I know that it would try to attack my computer every 3 minutes!
So the intrusion attacked my computer once every 2-3 minutes for 2 days straight, I had run a full virus scan but nothing showed up and the intrusions continued until...
"Windows cannot startup
File C:Windows\System32\config\system is missing
press R to repair after inserting widnows CD"
so I repaired my computer and formatted it yet the minute I was done the intrusions attacked once more and sooner or later, it destroyed my windows once more.
Will you please help me stop these intrusions? I think it has something to do with P2P software due to open ports so if you have any information please share it, and one day when you need help someone will help you
thanks!
(Not working computer:Operating system: Windows XP professional service pack 2, Intel hardware)

It would help if we know the full story: http://icrontic.com/forum/search.php?searchid=904811

So you downloaded something with Utorrent that deleted C:Windows\System32\config\system. I am guessing you only did a repair install and still have malware on your computer. You need to do a full reinstall and don't use P2P anymore.
