Angry Solved: CA Firewall is burning me up!
A forced update that required reboot threw my CA Internet Security Suite (which has run 2 years with no problems) into chaos. I couldn't even log into this site without disabling it. The tech guy just tried to put me on with a technician, after I was told 2 days ago that the problem was known and would be fixed without my participation, I should just wait, LOL.
Well, I said that the problem is not on my computer and that I have no intention of reinstalling my system to suit CA, I'm in a wrath.
Does anyone else have this problem, and has anyone an idea of how to fix it??
I don't want to deal with the dumb CA techs, but, I need a Firewall!!
I know from trying to delete Norton and Panda how impossible it can be to get a security suite off a computer, and that a new suite won't install while there's a trace of the old one around.

the new monster.com format doesn't work with CA firewall unless I disable it. And trying to figure out how to ALLOW this website just isn't working for me either. A pain indeed.

Dear Verbalista,
I've heard that they do have chat sessions for problem solving. You seem to have fore-closed that option!

You have two options left. 1) Un-install using the radical Revo-uninstaller (using option 3-with luck on your side) or 2)Just install a free firewall after disabling(which you are already doing) the CA suite. As you know, many of us plump for the Comodo Firewall Pro.

I finally had a paid incident for tech support with CA. They required me to change some of my own settings to suit their revised program. I objected to the $19 charge for a problem they causes, and they refunded my money. So, now the program is working with my system. Believe me, next time it's going to be Comodo. I will need a new system on my upstairs (work) computer soon, as the PC is more than 5 years old and will give up any day. I never heard of the Revo-unistaller, am making a note of it for future crises! Thanks so much.
