Question Cd-r that used to run fine now apparently has a virus...
As said in the title, avast has just apparently found a virus on a cd-r that ran just fine in my laptop last time. The cd in question is a copy of office 2003 which my uncle gave me (he works in a college, gets the ones that have a multi-computer license) which was installed on 3 computers in my home within the past year. However, after I did a system restore on one recently to get rid of a keylogger I couldn't find, I went to reinstall office and avast gave me a virus alert for the disk. Puzzled, I tried it on another of the computers and the same thing happened. I'm totally baffled since it was absolutely fine on all 3 computers first time round. Oh, and I'd really like to be able to reinstall my office without panicking about a virus >.<

Hi,

Since you are using pirated software (doesn't matter that the college has a multi-user license they aren't for half the staff to take home and give away...) I will have to Close your thread.

Read the Rules
