Security Suite Recommendations Please
Hello everyone. I am currently using CA Security, which was available for free with my ISP. It includes firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, and email scanner. It seems to use a lot of system resources and slows down my computer. I used to use AVG Free and it picked up quite a bit of false positives. I used to use Zone Alarm, and wasn't too happy with it. I know I can't expect a lot out of free programs, therefore I'd like to get some recommendations of some Security Suites that do not use a lot of system resources, and aren't too pricey. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear LuckyStrike502,
If you want the best security suites out there,go for ESET's Nod32 or Kaspersky internet security suite2009. Then there are security suites by Panda,Norton, Zone Alarm etc. These articles may prove more helpful: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2087488,00.asp

Unfortunately none of these reviews mention ESET, which you read about and decide at: http://www.eset.com/smartsecurity/ . I suggest you try ESET for a full thirty day free period and then decide! Best wishes.

Thanks for the reply, but I have decided to go with Norton's Internet Security 2009. I read review after review, and this got very good reviews. I know earlier versions of Norton's didn't get great reviews, but I downloaded the free trial and it seems to be great! It uses very, very low computer resources, and is very easy to use. :-)

If you want to read some more during the free trial period, here's a couple of links.

Also, well written reviews of free security (and other) progs at this independent site:
