Ignore these browser flaws at your own risk.

The Secure Enterprise 2.0 Forum has just released its 2009 industry report outlining the top Web 2.0 security threats. These security threats are not so much specific to Web 2.0 companies as much as they are to browser-based applications.

P.S. I use Firefox 3.0.6 with the NoScript Add-on to help avoid these kinds of problems.

Dear lotuseclat79,
Thanks for the impressive article! I follow you regarding the browser. Since you are an expert on security issues, can you kindly summarize the article's practical points which we all can follow? What's your opinion on Opera browser? Things like that,If i may say "sticking your neck out a bit"!

Hi perfume,

Although I have downloaded Opera, I have yet to unwind the package and use, so, in that regard I am not qualified to comment on its security capabilities, although I understand that a lot of features are built-in as opposed to FF's add-on approach.

If you run a Windows OS from M$, download and run Firefox with NoScript instead of running IE (except when you may need it for M$ security updates every month on update Tuesday, i.e. don't attempt to uninstall it - that may be near impossible anyway).

I run a Linux OS and always use the latest stable releases with security package updates, and Firefox's latest updates with NoScript which seems to update fairly frequently anyway.
