Is Spybot & Ad-Aware neccesary with Vista
I have Vista Home Premium, and use AVG Free Adition, with Windows Firewall, and Defender set for on and automatic update, should it be neccesary to have spybot, and adaware?

You probably also have the MRT (Malicious Software Removal Tool).

I cannot say if it is neccessary for you to run additional software. I do not run either of those two.

AVG has spyware built it.
I also use CCleaner to clean my computer ... http://www.ccleaner.com/
If you set it to clean cookies ... But keep any you might need with passwords ..
It will remove most of what Adaware and Spybot will detect as spyware ... and do it a lot faster.

I may occasionally scan for spyware with ... http://www.superantispyware.com/ ... But never find any

I agree with you about CCleaner, Noyb. It is surprising that is still free.
