Hi, You mean you are somehow going to have to share your computer with someone who will be using Limewire?

About all I can tell you is that there are plenty of forums that specialize in using P2P and I suggest you search around for some!

Feel free to browse through our General Security forum and Malware Removal for tips on software to use to help prevent problems, but there is really no way to block or screen everything especially when the users may not be aware and experienced.

And if I were you, I would try my best to somehow ask that a separate computer be gotten for those that want to use Limewire, and that your computer be not used by anyone who does.

If you have high speed Internet such as cable or DSL, you can get a router that allows connecting up to 4 computers so each can be used. A good used computer is so easy to come by these days....see what you can do.

When P2P like Limewire is used, the odds are great that eventually something will be downloaded and run that is malware disguised as innocent media.

And, since it is filesharing there is the possibility of getting caught with copyright protected media files.

Thread is Closed because it is a violation of our Rules regarding use of P2P software. We do not support the use of P2P.
