antivirus
i have mcafee 8.5i antivirus software i am using internet heavily roughly and daily it is good antivirus or not

As far as i am concerned Macfee is a good antivirus but as you are mentioned that you are using internet heavily I might suggest you to install Internet security rather than Antivirus program. But I am not an expert in this matter you need to check out this website

avg
i have run avg free for years with no problems. i use panda free on line scan once a week just to be sure but no problems found with it also. i also use comodo 3.8 free firewall.

No single antivirus detects ALL viruses. I have Avast and I use Panda's online ActiveScan once in a while for a second opinion. So, it is good to have Mcafee, at least you have something, but also use some other online antivirus regularly to double check. A list of online scanners is available here:
