When did the problem begin? More importantly, what changed, on your end, since you were last able to connect?
Have you contacted the VPN adminstrator? Can others who use the VPN connect? The problem may not be on your end.
Which Symantec FW?
Which version of Windows is on your computer?
RIGHT click "my computer" or "computer".
Left click "properties".
RIGHT click "my computer" or "computer".
Left click "manage"
maximize screen
On left, left click "device manager"
Across the top, left click "view"
Left click "show hidden devices"
Any Symantec items? If so, which?
Any items with yellow or red marks?
RIGHT click any of those 3.
Left click "properties"
Any codes, such as "code 31" "failed to start".
XP
start > run
Vista
start > search
type: services.msc
OK
Maximize screen
Look for any symantec or VPN items.
RIGHT click said item[s]
Left click properties.
Is the item started / stopped?
Set to disabled, manual, automatic?
