Trying to add Mcbee to my security arsonal. its Free thru comcast. I removed all antivirus software as recommended but Threatfire and avir keep showing up as a conflict. I can not find them in the computer anywhere. I have rebooted. anyone have any ideas ?

how to find software on the computer that does not show up in the control panel remove software selection on on the drives>

When I was forcefully moved to Comcast, due to a buyout .. I asked about McAfee here at TSG
The general opinion was that McAfee would slow me down as much as Norton ...
Been there ... Done that ... and won't do it again.

If you really want to run McAfee ... Have you called Comcast ???
You may have to call several times to get someone who understands and knows.

McAfee may be good ... I know someone who got a call from Comcast ..
They were being shut down because their computer had a virus and was being used to send Spam.

Comcast told him to install and run McAfee .. And they would turn him back on.

I used the tool, but AVIR is still showing up when I try to run McVee


I have run it 2x. Thanks

any other ideas how to get rid of unwanted programs ?
