Solved: McAfee
I'm going grey with this one, please help !
my McAfee will only scan to a certain point, 9_ENU_TrialDownload.exe then it freezes, I'm not protected for my e-mail & IM. I tried the fix button but it tells me one or more things need my attention and remains unfixed,
tried the virtual technician and that says all is running ok
finally I am prompted to do updates for office 2003 then am told that I need to insert the disc ?? I have uninstalled regrepair, malwarebytes etc in case they are conflicting I have uninstalled macAfee and reinstalled something is wrong and I can't see it.
Thanks in anticipation

Hi, McAfee> How was this installed, did it come preinstalled with the computer? Is the subscription paid up to date? Do you see any message, for example when you start the computer that somethig needs to be done for McAfee, such as subscribing?

*What I need to know, is did the McAfee come pre-installed and possibly expire?

Or, did someone there install it? It may have been a free trial, that is expired.

You need to tell me if you are paying for yearly updates and the subscription is active?

Most Office updates do require that you insert the same disc that you installed Office with...this can be a problem if you got Office preinstalled on your computer and do not have the Recovery CDs or the install disks....
