Unhappy Solved: McaFee install
Hi, i got McaFee through comcast a couple months ago i had mcafee installed a couple weeks ago until i got a 1gb stick of ram, i installed the ram, then my computer went down, a couple of times. When i was not able to stabelize my computer i took the ram out. When i turned on my computer, most of my programs i had installed were corrupted and didn't work anymore, along with Mcafee. I managed to uninstall and reinstall the corrupted programs except for mcafee. When i try to install McaFee the install gets stuck. first it gathers download information, second it scans my computer for a virus, third it gathers download information again and that is where it gets stuck. so i thought maybe the OS got corrupted too, so i just partitioned, formatted and reinstalled my OS. I thought that would fix it. I tried to reinstall mcafee and i get the same thing, it gathers download information, it scans my computer for a virus, it gathers download information again and then it gets stuck. i have contacted McaFee support techs and they could not get it working either, i even let one of them control my computer. i watched what the tech did as he/she controled my computer, and he/she kept getting the same thing i did. They tried restarting my computer in safe mode with networking, downloading and installing pre-mcinstall, if thats what it is called. Is there anyone that can get this working? Pleas help. I spent the money, i want to be able to use it, and i dont like using the internet with out antivirus. i have vista, 3gb ram, 2.4 ghz cpu, Some one help please.
