I've tried various ways to get rid of this, but to no avail. I have antispy software on my computer and do not want microsoft anti-virus software for $59. How in Sam's *&^^ do I get rid of this annoying notice. I don't know how to say I don't want it and stop bugging me with me having to buy it. Any help will be appreciated. Again I don't want their antispyware software.

Download, install and run HiJackThis

Run the scan and save log file option
When the LOG file opens in Notepad, Edit > Select all, Edit > Copy

Then, in a reply post, Paste

This will allow us to review your Startup apps.

The message is in the top of the page where you usually have to allow "install active x". This is the message "Internet Explorer has found an unregistered version of Anti-Virus Number-a. To protect your computer, please register your Anti-Virus Number-1. Sometimes a page comes up and interfers with what I have a advertises Anti-Virus Number-1. This is really a pain. I can't seem to delete this in any way. I even go to the page of the Anti-Virus Number-1 and it advertises it for $59. There is no way to delete this from my computer. I don't want microsoft anti-virus. I have an anti-spyware/virus software that I paid for. Can you help me? I downloaded hickjackthis. I haven't done anything else yet.

I would recommend using super-antispyware, it has a free edition and its really FANTASTIC.. Download this, update it and perform a full sytem scan.
