armhelper control
hp computer w/windows xp home service pack 4

my daughter had downloaded some games on my computer and the instant messenger icon was now on my start up bar. (am not computer savvy, sorry if the terms are incorrect) i wanted to remove the im icon and the games. was in control panel, went to task bar & start menu, then classic start menu, customize. went to advanced, then c:, then found downloaded program files. i was able to remove most of the games, but found ArmHelper Control, says it is unplugged. not sure what this is, can i remove it? or is it necessary for other programs? also, i never did find the im program to remove it. any help would be appreciated. thanks, kixngrins

ArmHelper Control is related to online games. It appears to be legit. Perhaps she is saving some files to a flash drive to play the game on other systems, thus the unplugged message. I'm not sure.
