McAfee versus TalkTalk
Hi Guys. Recently my McAfee update caused what appeared to be a re-installation of the whole program and since then every now and then it hogs up to 100% of my system for a short while making browsing go on hold till it has finished clunking - is this just a newer more powerful version of the anti-virus program do you think? The other weird thing is that recently my TalkTalk (my ISP) icon for their Assist and Go help function disappeared from the desktop and the program had completely disappeared. TalkTalk are sending me an up to date disc to reinstal the help part but has anyone heard of this happening before? Might it be that McAfee or Spybot or AdAware (I use all 3) have removed it in error? I am reasonably computer literate and I like to understand what happens so would be grateful for any comments. Thanks, Technomum.
