runtime error 5

I downloaded AVG 8.5 with difficulty, after having received several virus attempts and my mcafee needed updating. Then I started to make me a CD with ITUNES, when I kept getting an error message, I turned off the computer and waited a few minutes before I started up again. When the start up screen came on there was an error message... runtime error 5 010058AD and no task or icons were noted. Unable to do anything. No internet, no icons, no function. What should I do. Please.
