Unhappy Windows Security / Anti-virus Issue
I wasn't sure if I could find this particular question so I'll place it here. Hope it's okay. Anyway I log into my computer and I get a Windows Security Message that says Please check your anti-virus or something about windows security not being protected by a anti-virus. So I click the little red bubble and it it shows under Malware Protection it shows Virus protection turned off but right underneath it shows my AVG and a button that says Turn On and the option of Show available options. So I click to turn it on and click trust this software but it never gets turned on. So I have no idea how to fix this so I hope someone can help me. Please

I suggest you right click on the AVG icon in the task bar then select Open AVG interface> select update. There is a way to set AVG to automatically update. If you need help doing this post back,

Are you talking about updating by going under Tools and down to Update and clicking that? Or are you meaning to click Update from Directory?

Did you try the suggestion I made in post #3?

"I suggest you right click on the AVG icon in the task bar then select Open AVG interface> select update. "
This should manually start the update process.

Is it working correctly then?
If it is you can mark this solved by clicking on the solved notation at the upper left edge of your original post.
If not post back and we will see what else we can do.
