Angry Solved: Remove Skype 3.8
Windows XP Pro - I thought I had removed Skype 3.8 months ago. Recent check of Add or Remove I find Skype 3.8 27.62 MB still there. Click to remove and I get A network error occured while trying toi read from the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\Skype.msi then clicking OK, I get Fatal error during installation. Going on Skype support, they avoid at all cost any help removing Skype. Any suggestions?

Great advice...I used the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility as you suggested and it did the job of removing Skype 3.8. I'm sure I was not the only one with this problem, so for anyone else ... this really works!

A personal thanks to Senior Member Phantom010, for resolving this issue so quickly. I guess having "Advanced" experience says it all. To us Junior members, frustration seems to rule with these issues. It is great to have help out there in Cyberspace. Thanks again.
