You'll have to make sure ProxyWay is completely removed from your system. Go to Start / Run / type services.msc
If you see ProxyWay service still in there and enabled, disable it.
Also, go to Start / Run / type msconfig
Under the Startup tab, make sure nothing related to ProxyWay is checked.
A program like ProxyWay must surely modify your IE7 settings and put you behind a proxy. Make sure your browser has been returned to its original state. Open you IE7 Options, under the Connections tab, click on LAN settings, this will open the "Local Area Network (LAN) Settings" box. Make sure there is no check mark under "Proxy server".
Also, the program might have modified a few of your firewall's settings. Turn it off and see if your problem persists. If it works, check you settings.
To make sure you have gotten rid of all traces of ProxyWay, try the free
Revo Uninstaller or the
Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
After all of the above has been done, you can install and run
HijackThis to see if you still have traces of ProxyWay.
Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile. The log will be saved in Notepad. Do not fix anything.
If still no joy, try a System Restore to a date prior to ProxyWay's installation.
