Solved: Kaspersky Internet security 09
Hey,
I use KIS 2009, I uninstalled this product the earlier day due to some reason. I reinstalled it. But this thing refuses to update. I mean updates progress until 99% and it keeps on updating.
Secondly on my system tray I see the kaspersky icon as gray and black with an exclamation mark. This is really annoying

Please help me
Prashant S

went to the troubleshoot, there was a similar problem listed
update files are corrupted
they give a dumb solution to set the system date right.
My system date is perfectly right and still there is a problem

Dear srprashant,
The red icon of KIS2009 turns Grey when the database is corrupted. You have the option of rolling back to the previous database. How did you re-install, on-line or cd version? Have you recently received any e-mail from Kaspersky about expiry of license? They usually give you one month time, just checkout your e-mail! I know you dislike doing it but i guess that among the mountain of unread messages there will be one from the Kas. guys! Happy hunting!

No problem

Unfortunately I have been trying to update this piece of s*** since yesterday night, no difference, it seems stubborn.
I am cursing myself for choosing this crap
It even seems to be slowing down my internet.

I apologize for using bad language, im really at my wits end :'(
