Solved: Windows Defender new icon
ZA gave two alerts that I checked with a Google. Both were viruses. The next alert was an .exe (I don't remember the rest of it - sorry) and I did a search that said it was for Windows Defender. I figured it was ok. Now I have an icon in systems tray, a green circle with three grey things in back of it. I can't figure it out but either a right or left click brings up the words "Windows Defender."

I searched my programs and don't have it listed. What is it and do I need it? If not, how can I get rid of it?

I know this isn't very clear but I'm not a pro and when things pop up it makes me nervous!

This situation was resolved by using System Restore.
