Kaspersky users and their views about techinical support
Hey TSGERS,
This thread has been mainly created for kaspersky products users.
How do you find the technical support?
I find it really bad. I sent them a mail regarding kaspersky slowing down the internet connection, they sent me a reply with a solution which didn't work, so I sent them back a message saying the solution didn't work and to provide an alternative, I haven't received a message again, its been a month almost!
I used the kaspersky forum & I find the members especially the senior members and moderators extremely rude.
I remember sending a Personal Message to a moderator, I sent the PM with my caps lock on, he replied back saying he wasn't BLIND and wasn't stupid to read message in caps. Now that seemed unprofessional

Don't get me wrong, I hate the product, but the best service I've ever had from a paid antivirus company was from McAfee! I only had to go online and I could chat with a live technician. That's hard to beat. I'm using ESET now but I must admit that service is really slow. They state that they will answer within one business day. It always took a week before I got an answer!!! But still, at least the product is excellent. I don't have to contact them for any technical problem. I only contacted them for something related to renewal.

Dear srprashant,
If there is a downside to Kaspersky, it's their customer service ! Kas is selling like mad just because of the products excellence, let it be a Kas A-V or KIS2009 or even their free AV scanner. The AV is top of the heap and the KIS firewall,ab-blocker and anti-malware functions( Embedded in KIS2009) are top class! Though i have MBAM (bought), i don't allow it to do a real-time job. I am not very sure about it's anti-spyware function, so "no comments"!

I am a registered member of the Kas forum and i do my best not to be rude! I can understand your angst, but the "caps lock on" query really p***** off anybody! It's considerd as real rude,as you surely know( by now)!

It's like selling a Ferrari or a Maserati without a toolbox kit! Just selling a class product and not offering quality service is gonna hurt Kaspersky one day, mark my words! For that matter any product!!

Hey guys,
Happy to inform you. I was browsing through the kaspersky India forum and I came to know that kaspersky labs have tied up with zoom technologies which is an Indian company based in Hyderabad to provide techinical support to kaspersky lab product users. It has this live chat feature and I even heard that the support provided is of very good quality
