How do I disable the firewalls necessary to add a new firewall program?
I already have a program I bought for my computer that is good for 2 computers. The second computer will not let us have the firewall or the clean up feature. They said I may have other conflicting firewalls on here. How do I get rid of excess firewalls, and all their properties?

Hi and welcome to TSG.
Open up the Windows control panel, and then click security center. Under Firewall, if it is not the Windows firewall, (if that too it can be disabled) go to the add or remove programs to uninstall the old firewall.

Dear friend,
Warm welcome! Do as jason08 suggested, and as far a "clean up process" is required, i recommend you install the Free Revo- Uninstaller. you can download this from:http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_..._download.html

Just click on the link above and you will be directed to the original website for download! Best wishes!

Use the Revo uninstaller as perfume suggested. Make sure whatever existing firewall you have is uninstalled before you install a new one, as I have learnt that even firewalls can conflict
Thanks to TSG

In addition to the above good tips, some applications come with their own uninstaller as part of the initial install package..
It would be part of that program/apps program file.

What ever firewall it is you need to keep it from starting when your booting up. Then once you know it is not loading at bootup then use it's own uninstaller.

My be good to post what Firewall it is so other can help.
