Svchost process restarts computer
I don't think this is a virus, but I want to make sure:

I was fooling around with my processes, and disabled a few of the svchost ones. Immediately after shutting down one of them, I got a pop up informing me that Windows needed to be restarted along with a 59 second timer. Man, did that bring back bad memories of the Blaster worm. While I'm not paranoid about that, I do want assurances that what happened was a normal response for my actions. I suspect that I just stumbled upon the actual thing that Blaster had taken advantage of back in the day.

Thanks for any input.

Svchost.exe is a process that runs services, and it is normal to have five or more instances running. I suppose if you disabled a vital service like RPC, Windows would shut down in the manner you describe.
