Unhappy DEBUG message??
ok, I have a sony vaio with vista, and until recently was working fine. Now, when I turn on my computer, a box pops up stating 'DEBUG: registration failed'. This is worrying enough, since i cannot work out what it is. Alongside that, my internet is running slowly and constantly crashing, and my antivirus is not picking up a thing. I have not come across anything ike this before, and would appreciate any advice on what to do. thanks

What program did you install last? Try uninstalling that and see what happens.

Then if that doesn't work, try a System Restore to a earlier date. ( Start button, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools )

Hi,

tried uninstallign arious programmes first, but that didn't work. Also did not originally set a restore point on the laptop, so that is not an option. Thanks for the suggestions though

When you say "that didn't work", do you mean the program failed to uninstall, or do you mean uninstalling them did not improve the situation ?

Go download MalwareBytes and run a scan, see if it picks up anything.
