Solved: How do I set a password for an Ubuntu file for the network?
Hello, I have many files that I want to password protect over my network. I am planning on having a server running on Ubuntu Linux and all other computers are running on Windows XP Pro. I want to make it so when I open a file on the Ubuntu server through the network from a Windows computer, it prompts me for a password.
And if this isn't possible, is there any other way that I can guard a file from specific windows network users on an Ubuntu server?

You're welcome.
If it's now working, you can click the "Mark Solved" button at the top of the page.
