Norton and Firewalls
Hi there, I am a little confused as to the firewall security on my computer. I used to use Norton 360 for antivirus / general protection a year or so back and then changed to Avast. I continually get the reminder to renew Norton 360 which is not a problem but when I have been recently checking my firewall for something it highlights that I am not covered by Windows Firewall and I should have it turned on but when I checked in my Security Centre it says that I am covered by Norton 360, but as I have not resubscribed to Norton is this possible? Is it best to turn off Norton altogether and change to Windows firewall?

Also the reason I was checking my firewall was that I was trying to find out a way to unblock a start up program that I managed to change to start up only with administrators permission but I would like it to start up automatically....does anyone have any ideas how I reverse this? Its for MSN Messenger. I'm not sure if I need to post seperatly for this issue or not?

Many thanks for your help!

you need to uninstall norton360 ASAP. As you seem to be using norton360 and Avast together. This could lead to disasterous consequences.
Did you uninstall norton 360 completely?
also try the norton removal tool,
