forgot pay word
This is a family computer, we had been using my wife's madian name as the administrative pass word. We changed it and wrote it down. I used the new pass word many times. I just purchased new soft ware and the computer will not let me install unless I have the correct passwork. The computer rejects both new and old passwords. I have checked the capital letters and tried both upper and lower case. All in the family deny changing the password. Any way to find what pass word the computer will accept or get around the pass word?

You could just buy a new computer and set a password you won't forget.
Otherwise, expect this thread to be locked within the next 12 hours.

reinstall windows..... and don't give the whole family admin rights... create two admin accounts one for you, and one for the wife, you have your password, she has hers, you both can log in and add whatever, and one can't change the others password cause they won't know it.... create accounts for anyone else with limited rights.

I'm afraid to say so. I know it would probably not be the first choice, but with very limited advice we can give, that's legal and can work.
