has my computer got virus called WINFAST
We recently had a power cut whilst my computer was on. When the power was restored the computer now starts up with a big logo on the screen called WINFAST (R) in big red letters. It then tells me to press F1 to continue or other instructions before my windows logo comes up and i can start using it. Also the clock went back to 1/1/06 when it crashed and I can no longer restore the system to an earlier date.I Have run my Panda security but it hasnt cured the problem. Have I Got a virus or what. Please help as i am scared to use my credit card for online purchases now in case it is spyware. Can any body help. Thanks in anticipation.

also if anyone does reply please could you do so in simple terms as i only know the basics about computers.
thankyou

It's possible that you do have a virus.
I would recommend clicking the Report button and ask for a moderator to move the thread to the Malware Removal forum so a malware expert can look at the situation.

I think the problem is related to the power outage. WINFAST is your Leadtek NVIDIA graphics card.

Power outages = hardware enemy number 1. Try running a game and see if your video card performance is still the same. Also check your Bios and make sure nothing got reset.

AS PHANTOM said, if it is NVIDIA GRAPHIC CARD problem than you should do what you are told by PHANTOM. if you beleive WIN FAST is a spyware or you have some doubt of bieng attack by spyware than you should run an anti spyware program instead of antivirus. PANDA is an antivirus program, to remove WIN FAST or any sppyware you should use Super anti spyware or Spyware Doctor, or run malware bytes, anyone on of these good anti spwyare programs. http://darfuns.com/download-malwarebytes/
