How much is enough?
How much software do I really need when it comes to protecting my PC? Do I need malware, spyware, virus and firewall software? Here's a list of programs I have in mind. Do I need them all? If not, what can I afford to leave off. And, if I do get them all...will they interfere with each other.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
SUPERAntiSpyware
Avast (virus)
Online Armor (firewall)

Avast and Online Armor would be my real-time protection and in the chance that I do get infected, I would have the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware scanners...right?

That looks like reasonable protection although Avast would not be my first choice.

Update your computer regularly (when updates are available)
keep your antivirus up to date with automatic updates turned on, for super antispyware and malwarebytes', try updating them on a daily basis, as a result your computer should be well protected.

I used to use many, now I use one, have been using it for the last 3 years. It works just fine for me.I find using this really simplifies things for me.I really never think about it anymore.Try it and see what you think.

That should be enough protection.

I concur with the above suggestions. Avira Antivir is very good! To add "Spybot search and destroy with the Teatimer" will increase the detection capability of spyware. Download site :http://www.safer-networking.org/en/
Best wishes.
