Rootkit in CS 1.6 download?
My friend convinced me to download CS 1.6 a while ago, so I did. Before installing it though, I ran an avast scan on it and it turned out a certain file
"Regset.exe" was a rootkit, at least according to avast. Better safe than sorry, I deleted the whole thing. But my question is, if there's a rootkit in that download why did people pick it up?(the source seemed to have something like 400000 downloads). So now I'm not sure whether it's a false positive or not so I decided to ask you guys.

Also, what would be a safe download spot for CS?

If you didnt get it from Steam, then you're sure to encounter infected versions.
