Why am I being àttacked for the first time ever with a barrage of advertizing pop upsI have Vista Premium, AVG free,Windows Defender, Google Pop -Up Blocker, IObit Security 360, I just removed Ad Aware as it made no difference either. My security is set at default. The second observation is I keep getting a window saying Internet Explorer is closing. This initaited by DEP.. (Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security feature that can help prevent damage to your computer from viruses and other security threats.)I have run a scan on all the aforementioned and if they ever got rid of some threat, it made no difference. The Pop ups and the IE shut downs (not the current window) keep rolling on!I`m frustrated and a bit scared that the security walls may come tumbling down with these Pop Ups advertising everything and anything imaginable.HELP!

The General Security forum is only for general questions regarding security software and things of that nature but not for actually removing malware as we have qualified helpers who are the only members who are authorized to assist with those matters. You can easily identify them as they have either a gold or blue shield beside their usernames. Please refer to this excerpt from the rules:
