Malware program closes after starting scan and can be removed
I use a program called pc pitstop exterminate for removing malware so here is my problem I open exterminate update it then I go to run a quick scan 30 seconds after it starts the program closes even if it finds nothing it still gives a report so I go to remove it so I can re-install it hoping that would fix it as it begins to un-install I get the error message File "C:\Program Files\PCPitstop\Exterminate\unins000.dat" does not exist. Cannot uninstall if any one has any ideas it would be much appreciated

Kindly try opening the"hidden files and folders" and then "search". I am presenting a thumbnail and please watch what are ticked and what are not.

Dear plvness,
Now, if you can't find the program, then proceed to this step where you will be allowing "system files" to be viewed. Untick the file extensions too! You WILL get a display that it's not safe, but go ahead and click on "apply" and "OK". Once you find/don't find the program file, kindly tell us all, so that some more comp.savvy guy/gal can help you out! Please see this thumbnail.
