Can ya help me out here?
Hi!
Can you help a girl out here?

**I downloaded spyrecon on my computer on7/6/2009
**Only to discover that a program called svrsrn.exe had already been downloaded on my computer on 1/4/2008 at 4pm.
**Through research I was able to determine that svrsrn and spyrecon gold are about the same thing distributed by securetactics.

I state that svrsrn was downloaded as spyrecon was because the information on the svrsrn appears displayed in the exact same format as the downloaded spyrecon and it offers the exact same information IE the date that it was created and the date that it was modified and so on so forth. svrsrn information is identical to the spyrecon information even including the same icon. So as my spyrecon was downloaded it appears that this svrsrn program was downloaded too at some point in the past. In addition I did see a email hidden in one of the files in my computer. It stated:

Congratulations stmp configuration for spyrecon configured properly. The heading for this email was "Email setting confirmation" Oddly enough though the date on this confirmation email is 2/26/2005

I asked my husband if he had downloaded the program. He said no I dont think I did something like that.

I contacted securetactics and It's been three days since I emailed their support people. I have not gotten back a response but ODDLY enough, today when I went to access the spyrecon program through the short cut I got this message

Problem with shortcut

The item svrsm.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly.
I went to the file location in local disc C and ABRAKADABRA POOF the program information for svrsrn.exe downloaded on 1/4/2008 was gone. Vanished. Only the spyrecon data corrosponding to my download on 7/6 remained.

And although the 7/6 program is still there I cannot access it. WHat on earth do you make of this. My husband claims to be way to computer illiterate to pull off all this tecnical things but still I have to wonder.

What on earth do you make of this. Should I be further discussing this issue with my husband as he is the originator of the program and the problem. OR
is it possible that someone securetactics maybe hacked into my computer and downloaded this program. And that I need to be talking with them?

Please help me out with a solution to this dilemma. It would be so vastly appreciated. It really would.

Thank You

Oh I forgot to mention. That the purpose of the spyrecon was to monitor my 14 year old sons internet activity. I told everyone in the household that I was going to do this.

Hi,

TechSupportGuy Rules prohibit us from helping with certain things....keyloggers is one of the things we do not support. If you are determined to use such programs, please go to the support pages or forums for the software where you should be able to get help.

What we do allow is discussion in general, about the software, what it does, etc.

But, we cannot help you get it working, nor provide help using it.

What we also do, is provide assistance to remove keyloggers and malware in general.

We would have no way to tell how you acquired the programs.

Some are installed purposefully by owners or other users, sometimes the software arrives on the computer as part of a major malware infection through Internet use, file sharing, etc.
