Solved: System Mechanic
I own it and have it installed. Yeah, I know, I know...bad move. But it's too late now. My PC is messed up (not do to System Mechanic) and System Mechanic is the only tool at my disposal. Mainly Drive Medic.

Only...Drive Medic seems to be acting wonky. I insert the disk and it loads it, bringing me to the Drive Medic screen...but there's no mouse! How do I get my mouse to show up so I can get Drive Medic to (hopefully) fix my machine?

Give system restore a try. I don't forsee System Mechanic fixing anything. Then after you get your computer working again do yourself a favor and unistall System Mechanic. What exactly does "acting wonky" mean and how do you know System Mechanic isn't at fault. I'm my experience I find when people say things like that it's typically the issue.

It's acting wonky as in, according to tech support officials for System Mechanic, there should be instructions saying to press spacebar in order to select a hard drive. Said instructions aren't showing up. Nor does pressing spacebar do anything. It's not frozen, though, because esc exits it just fine.

I know it's not System Mechanic's fault because I installed it a few months ago and this problem only just happened today.

Here's my thread on my problem, not System Mechanic related: http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt...gpcpq-sys.html

Resolved with a sledgehammer and plenty of pent up nerd-rage.

(Not really, but you get the idea.)
