Trojan // Exploit-Obscured
Hi.

I recently re-installed Diablo II after a long break. Sometime while i'm playing, I get disconnected. When I minimize it, I try using my browser (google chrome) and it doesn't work or goes incredibly slow. Then a few minutes later, a popup would say Trojan found and removed: Exploit-Obscured which was under the temp. files for chrome. A few minutes after that, everything usually goes back to normal or it happens all over again. It had happened a few times before I installed Diablo II but has been occuring multiple times everyday whilst playing D2 now. Help?

I also tried running 'Clean Up!' in safe mode as I was told by someone this might help, but the problem came back. Also, C: doesn't open when I click on it - however I can type in c: in the windows explorer bar at the top and it happens instantaneously. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but they both happened around the same time.

Thanks alot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please click here to download and install the HijackThis installer.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

Do not fix anything

You still have traces of a possible Troj/Bckdr-QMD removable media worm removal.

Please start a new thread in the Malware Removal forum.
