@ O.P,
Two reasons why two A-vs should not be on a single PC.

1) They consume resources and the slow down will be apparent.

2) The false-positive detection rate will climb and the user gets the "trembles"

3) I have KIS2009 and tried to install "Threatfire" and it was crash time! Since i take Backup and Restore, not much damage was done.

The PC may/will tolerate even two OS, for ex., MS and Linux, but not two A-Vs!

Yeah, the slow down would really be a big issue. McAfee is the only anti-virus I have on my PC, but even that sometimes causes the computer to freeze up!

Hi, RootbeaR,
This thread is a more general one. Here you can share your views towards having multiple antivirus in a system. I'd started this thread just to inform you about some security products which allows to use more than one AV simaltaneously.
But the newer thread is more specific. There i needed your feedback about the newer free security suite (ESA) in the market.
So,
Anyone interested to review ESA Security Products, please write in that thread.
