Solved: firewall ?
Which is better windows or McAfee firewall ? If both are on will they conflict with each other and why ? Thanks alot Techguys you all have helped me very much since I have came to this sight .

mcafee firewall is much better than windows firewall, the windows firewall can only scan incoming traffic and not the outgoing traffic, windows firewall isn't effective, haven't seen it work efficiently. Don't have two firewalls turned on simultaneously, it may lead to program conflicts

You may also want to check your ISP for free software becauseyou can get from comcast and and some others the mcafee firewall.
But they are branded. If you change ISP's then they can not be updated.

Also just about any firewall is better the windows firewall

i like comodo free firewall ,the new one does a lot better job. you download both firwall & antivirus but only install what you want. watch you don't download a new homepage ,new browser and toolbar ,you just need to uncheck the boxes,

I use the McAfee firewall, and I too agree it is better than the Windows firewall.

An ISP stands for Internet Service Provider, companies that provides Internet to customers.
