Norton
Is Norton as secure as they say it is at all the stores that are selling it? Someone told me it can slow your computer down cause it gets its hands in EVERYTHING O_O.. Just curious cause I may get a different internet security program sometime.

Hi Is Norton secure - Yes it is.
Does it slow your system down - it can depending on your system resources.
But here are many other programs that you could try as an alternative.

Are you having any problems with Norton?

Old versions of Norton used to suck big time, but the newer versions are actually fairly light and I like them.

I been using Norton's for many years and Norton's has most definitely improved over the years. I've been running Norton's latest NIS 2009 for a while and I'm very pleased with it's work that goes on in the background, and it doesn't seem to slow my computer down.

I use Norton Anti-virus 2009 and it's OK except for one great big fault: it installs a file called ccSvcHst.exe on your PC and this completely freezes up my machine on a random basis. I get CPU usage running at 100%, with 97% of it being attributed to ccSvcHst.exe

I've had Symantec technicians all over my machine on remote control, and they report nothing wrong, but their website acknowledges this file is a known issue and they are still working on it.
