Solved: help with Avast 4.8 home edition

i have just recently installed Avast and want to know how to schedule scans, that is if i need to do this as i know it has an online access scanner but i am not really sure what this means apart from the obvious.

Or you can just run a manual scan

right click your main drive and there should be an option to scan with Avast
