Windows live platform error message
Hi I'm a virgin here so apologise if this is incorrectly posted but I am in need of some help.
I'm running on windows vista and laptop started going crazy after I tried to install a few updates, one of which was IE8, after trying to restore nothing changed it only got worse as wouldnt let me restore back to date before IE8 was installed, things went from bad to worse with windows live messenger constantly giving error message stating windows live platform stopped working and signing me out, tried everything but nothing worked so I backed up all my files on portable HD and decided to do a full system wipe... This went fine and reconnected my connection via wireless at home, hit the windows live messenger download button on my start menu all was fine until I signed in and it came up with the exact same thing" Windows live messenger platform has stopped working" click to close and find a solution, did this and once again it's to do with NORTON 360.
My laptop came with a free trial, but I did NOT touch this or try to configure it just left well alone.. Please help I'm so frustrated.. sorry for the long post.
