Hijacked?
Hi folks,
any help or advise on the follwing.

Was using my pc as normal yesteday, when my virus checker suddenly advised that I had trojans all over the place!

I did a scan, and it identified various problems, one of which required a re boot. I then found that while on my desk top, I was receiving some sort of radio program! The next shock came when I tried to log on to my digital on line banking. While it looked like my banks normal log on screen, I was asked for a lot more info than normal, IE full password, security number, PIN etc. I did not enter any such info, I'm not that stupid.

I subsequently logged on to my bank from work, all normal. I have of course informed my bank, who stopped access. There is an additional anti fraud program which is used with my on line banking-this has been stopped. When I tried to do a windows XP restore to an earlier date, it said no restore dates available.

I use the security suite ESET (NOD32) Lava soft AD-AWARE, and computer care (sorry can't remember the correct name-black background, blue graphics-checks loads of different things and very fast).

Do I need to reformat my HD? or should I run a program such as evidence eliminator to write 1's and 0's all over the drive?

Any help appreciated. I am NOT using that PC, but sending this from my work computer!

Any advice or help much appreciated.

Kind regards

Hi and Welcome,
You need to start a new thread in the Malware forum here at TSG. Here's a guide:

Please include the info you've given here in your new thread. Please also be patient as there are too few experts to give instant replies.
